a truly remarkable guy

He kept at true good humour's mark
The social flow of pleasure's tide:
He never made a brow look dark,
Nor caused a tear, but when he died.
~Thomas Love Peacock
sniff......
i am sorry that i am not greeting you with my usual hey! but i felt that there was nothing cherful about as a great desinger has died : Alexander Mcqueen :

a quick bio:
he was born with the name of Lee Alexander McQueen on 17 March 1969 known for his unconventional designs andunique taste. McQueen worked as the head designer at Givenchy for five years before founding the Alexander McQueen and McQ labels. McQueen's dramatic designs, worn by celebrities including Rihanna ,Björk and Lady Gaga ,met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Designer of the Year award four times.McQueen was gay, and claimed he had realised his sexual orientation when he was six and told his family at 18.In the summer of 2000, McQueen unofficially married his partner George Forsyth, 24, a documentary filmmaker, on a yacht in Ibiza ( only lasted a few years).after the suicide of Isabella Blow Rumours were published that there was problems between McQueen and Blow at the time of her death , his response :
It's so much bollocks. These people just don't know what they're talking about. They don't know me. They don't know my relationship with Isabella. It's complete bullshit. People can talk; you can ask her sisters ... That part of the industry, they should stay away from my life, or mine and Isabella's life. What I had with Isabella was completely dissociated from fashion, beyond fashion
McQueen's death was announced yesterday. He was found dead that morning by his housekeeper at his home on Green Street, London W1. Paramedics were called; they pronounced him dead at the scene.McQueen died nine days after the death of his mother. British tabloid The Sun has reported that McQueen was found hanged, but this has not been confirmed. The police have stated that the death was not suspicious, but have not confirmed that the death was a suicide.
A post-mortem is scheduled to take place on 15 February, and a coroner's inquest later that week.
Some of McQueen's accomplishments included:
1-He was awarded the CBE and named International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards
2-In 2005 McQueen collaborated with MAC's promotion of cosmetic releases created by fashion designers
his last collection:

i was intending to blog about his last collection but it just dosent feel right at the moment as we have lost a real star in fashion i am sitting on my room with my laptop listening to lady gaga´s fashion and the one thing that keeps poping into my head is that he had such great eye for picking colors for his collections , i know its stupid but that is how i feel and that i will always remember this dress from a former collection:

anyway its kinda late and i feel too sad to even go out ( i am serious)

gossip-worthy hair/ girly tomboy style
so you are probably waiting for the excuse of my delay this time i am sorry to say that this time i have none ( unless you count laziness as an excuse i am just so tiered when i get home at night that i see my laptop and feel sick ( not to menction that i am totally love struck as shy guy continues to haunt my mind )as i been kinda busy lately ,i just joined my new school's drama club and totally loved it!!(tough i kinda miss swimming and my tan is suffering).
As for the shy guy situation i guess i just have to wait and see or else move on and find someone better as a friend recently suggested ( tough my friend being of the male persuasion i am not sure about his true intentions). Next monday i am getting hair extensions, i am going for the Leighton meester´s blair waldrof hair ( season 1 of course):
it will be a mayor change from my shorter than this picture victoria beckam hair cut i am currently wearing (an in between stage form my former Audrey hepburn pixie cut to growing it out) :

so i am hopeing this mayor makeover in both legnth and color will help me impress my crush as right now we both have the same hair legnth ( more or less ).
the great thing about my new style is that is so simple to dress up as to dress down as i can play beautiful Audrey hepburn in a cute chignon and a spring-summer 2010 Andy&debb dress :

and a laid back style with losse waves in Richard chai´s cool new low-priced collection called love with efortless cool tomboy style with a girlish twist, so good in fact that teen vouge decided to feature it of this month´s issue :

coolly modern and polished downtown girl - that the love girl in the desinger´s own words; and it appears so as this look is all about simple and cool tough made to fit a girl´s body rather than a boy´s.

this are my favorite pices :
cool cuts , cute prints i think this collection is perfect for a romantic date at the park or a shopping trip with friends , whatever the occasion you are sure to be the coolest girl around :)!!
any way i have to leave now between french, photography, math, friends and my crush i need some well- deserved rest .
see you later darlings.
xoxo

fresh airs/ delance

an real fashionista
hey!
so new school's fab already made a some friends and found a crush (he is cute and shy)and feel like i am having a fresh new start( having got rid of all that emotcional baggage)but today i am not here to blog about me , but about a young star on the fashion sene: fashion blogger, singer, community founder wonder girl emilie delance:
i interview-requested her and she was totally nice about it and anwserd all my questions(even the stupid ones) she alreay forwared the anwsers and all i can say its that this girl is going to be big:
Style/fashion:
1- describe your style:
I would say I’m quite girly; I love colors, maxi dresses, vintage clothes and sequins. But on the other hand I also love to be rock chic sometimes, it depends on my mood.
2-where do you usually shop?
My favorite place to shop is the local second hand shops, but I also love high street shops like H&M and TopShop. And of course web shops! A dangerous habit, cause they are always open
3-what is your biggest fashion don't rule?
(example: i never match my shoes and bag )
I don’t really have a fashion no-no, for me it’s more staying true to your own style, what works for one person may not work on another, if I have a rule it’s to feel comfortable in what you’re wearing.
4-who is your style icon?
I actually don’t have one particular person in mind; I get so inspired by blogs! Seeing how fashionistas put their outfits together all over the world is such an endless source of ideas and inspiration.
5-what is your favorite piece in your closet right now?
Uh it’s hard to choose Right now I think it’s cashmere cape I got for Christmas, It’s great to throw on a chilly day and gorgeous to wear to a party too.
6- What is your favorite trend of the upcoming season?
I’m in love with wedges, nude colors, maxi dresses, animal print and I’m still holding on the sequins and studs.
7- Describe your everyday outfit:
On a casual day I’ll wear a cute dress with tights, some ankle boots and some fab earrings. Or a blazer with a fun t-shirt and faux leather pants.
8-what are the key pieces to your style?
Wedge boots, dresses and jewelry.
9- Do your follow the advice of fellow bloggers?
I get inspired by my fellow bloggers, seeing what they wear, what they have bought and DIY’s. And if someone comes up with a great tip, I’m all for it.
10- Do you prefer trendy or unique?
I think most of us are influenced by trends; the key is to make it your own. I love making things my own, by sewing sequins on a top, doing some DIY and other things to alter my clothes.
Music:
1- where does your passion for singing comes from?
Music was my first love, I started writing my own music when I was about 12 years old, and now I have my own music studio downtown Copenhagen. My father is in the music business and he sings too, so maybe I inherited it from him
2-do you see music as a career option for you?
It is a big part of my life, and I am hoping to release some of my own albums in the future.
3-you write your own songs, do you inspire yourself in your personal life?
I use some personal things from my life and people around me, I also get inspired listing to other musicians, watching movies and going to concerts.
4- Are you planing to launch a music website in English?
Yes, in the near future I would like to launch my music website in English too, right now I’m concentrating on writing and recording.
5- Do you have a music icon?
I have so many! To mention a few I love: Billie Holiday, Donny Hathaway, Anthony Hamilton, Zero 7 and many many more.
6-are you working in a music project now?
I have various music projects going on, I sing in a couple of different groups and then I am working on my own album.
blog
1- what inspired you to create a fashion blog?
I have always loved fashion, and at first it was magazines and such, but then I discovered blogs, and I got so inspired by other bloggers that I decided to start my own.
2-how do you mange to balance your blog with your everyday life?
As a musician I decide my own working hours, so I try to update at least once a day, but of course some periods are more busy than others, but I simply just love to blog so I can’t stay away
5 do you have any tips for newbie bloggers?
1. Passion: You have to be passionate about what you write about. It is impossible to keep a blog running, if you do not have a genuine interest in this matter.
2. Originality: The blog must add something. It is not enough to skulk around the Web and copy pictures here and there. Try to think of ways to make it exciting for your readers
3. Personality: Clothes are a matter of style and personality. Let your personality shine through. It’s not about buying a lot of clothes, it’s about showing how to be creative and inspiring to others.
6-it’s awesome the way you write your blog in Danish and English, do you have any advice for bloggers that will like to do the same?
I used a special plug-in on my blog, so I’m able to make my own translations, If you’re not that technical , it’s good to team up with someone who is. Or use Google translate, which you can embed on your blog.
7- Do you feel the pressure to constantly update?
First of all you should really blog because you want to and not for the sake of others. But when that’s said, it is important to update frequently to keep the interest of your readers.
Community:
1-what made you create Delance Fashion Community?
I love blogging but sometimes I would miss connecting, getting tips and talking with other bloggers and fashion lovers. So I thought that it would be nice to have a community where we all could share our passion for fashion.
2-how do you feel about the fact that so many bloggers are connected thanks to you?
I’m really excited about it. Talking with people from all over the world is so inspiring. Seeing how fashionistas find each other’s blogs, discuss trends, share phtoalbums across the world is amazing. So I couldn’t be happier.
3-did you ever expect your website to become so popular in such short time?
It’s always exciting and a bit nerve wreaking when you start something new, so I’m really amazed that we already have over 300 members in just two weeks.
4- What does the little bird on the symbol means?
I always loved humming birds, they are so cute and live of the nectar in flowers, and I thought it would be a cool way to symbolize a kind of fashion buzz, as it flies from flower to flower, spreading the word.
5- Are you planning to make Delance Fashion Community the next facebook for fashion bloggers?
Hopefully the Delance Fashion Community will become a significant source of inspiration and social relation building between thousands of people interested in fashion, style and beauty. Already our users range from long time power fashion bloggers, to newbie’s just getting started with style and fashion. And that’s what makes it so fun. I’m quite astonished as to the skills and quality content contributed by members at all levels, and i definitely get a lot of inspiration in the community myself.
Personal:
1-how does your family feel about your sucsses (sorry if i spelled the word wrong )?
My family is really supportive, and I know it sounds cliché, but as long as I’m happy with what I do, they are happy for me
2- Have you ever have problems with a fellow blogger?
No happily I haven’t experienced that.
3-you have two sisters, do they ever ask you for fashion advice?
We all three have very different style, but sometimes they do ask for advice when we go out shopping, and my youngest sister loves to borrow some of my clothes.
so if you liked this glam girl's point of view i highly recomend you to visit her blog:
http://blog.delancefashion.com/
her music web site:
http://delancemusic.com
and of course her commuunity:
http://community.delancefashion.com/
so anyway i have to go, i need to go walk my dog
see you later fashion darlings:)!!

looking for it/navy dreams

hey
so last time i talked about this guy i was really into but wasen't my boyfriend; i am sad to say that we agreed o meet up and talk but he never showed ;i dont know where he is and frankly i am not so sure i care anymore,
after that i was sitting home with a friend talking about our guy problems and i realized that of all my serious boyfriends ( so far 10 )none of them have really been it i think might actually have the crapiest dating history ever.
have all the guys worth it died? ethier they are way too sweet or they act like complete jerks.the only guy i ever fell for treats me like just a friend no matter how hard i tried.i am not asking for a movie romance but it kinda makes me sad to think that when i was small all i wanted when i grow up was to be cool, unique, nice, artistic, have lots of friends and a bf i loved; now years later i am all that even cool( and kinda weird too but whatever),all i seem to be missing its the love part.
anyway ,now that i finally have a camara again ( thanks mom) i can freely express my style the way i want to and take some great street style shots so now i was thinking why does nautical fashion mostly used on spring when it has great mid-season potencial? natucal fashion has a preppy edge that looks amazing with florals and vintage details .
this is one of my favorite stay home and chill looks that is nautical inspired :

the way oversized vintage sweater i wear as a dress i bought it at a vintage store here in tijuana and the leggings are h&m , the headband juicy couture and the shoes are a mexican brand named LOB.
you can also add a little sailor charm to a normal outfit with the right accessories like this uber-cute channel s/s 2010 bracelet:

i just remember this lovely d&G sweater lily allen wore on teen vouge last april :

some brands that carry this style very well are : tommy hilfiger, ralph lauren and j.crew you can also find adorable calassics at vintage stores and -why not ?- your parents closet i am thinking about asking my dad for a few of his j.crew belts and ties ( headband any one?).
this style is a tried and true classic that i hope we will keep seeing on the runway al least for the next few years :)!! anyway i have to leave now i think i need a walk maybe on my way home i will find a sailor to kiss ;)
au revoir
xoxo

mixed feelings/french new wave

i feel your eyes on me when we walk and makes me feel warm inside.your touch is electrical and your kisses are magic to me. too bad that we cant be.
hey!
happy new year!!!
i am back from my ( very long )holiday break :) so there´s been all this drama in my life too bad this time it isn't school stuff, i like this guy or more than like i think i love him. but he isn't my boyfriend(i am glad no one i know reads my blog or else i am doomed).
Mystery guy is 3 years older, mind open and a free spirit and definitely knows how to handle a girl like me.
J is only a year older closed and controlling and i don't really feel anything for him anymore other than sorry. i want to dump him but we have common friends. i am scared but still i feel happy to really have found the perfect guy for me.
he doesn't pressure me and understands my fear of commitment and always knows just what i need . i wont cheat on my boyfriend so we have to wait and he understands it .he basically makes me feel like the heroine of a french new wave movie. edgy fresh but still classic sweet. so now that the temperature is going down and my heart is getting warmer this seems like the perfect style to go for and feel like a french rose .
BTW just got new digital camera - last one was broken - so i will start including street style pictures on my posts ( i missed some great opportunities).
The label “New Wave” was a journalistic slogan for a sociological phenomenon occurring in post-war France ( aka 1950´s), during which all the traditions were examined and radically changed .french new wave is also a term that was used for some french movies in of the late 1950s and 1960s.the New Wave filmmakers were linked by their self-conscious rejection of classical cinematic they had a bold take on their visual style and general form of the movie but still was greatly influenced by classic Hollywood films.
as for the costumes used on these films the characters used were effortless chic, simple , practical but yet feminine and quirky as for the guys they looked slick in their cool glamour dandy style , effortless indie outfits or fancy-cool french gangster suits.
if you want to go for this look there are a some basic pieces to go for :
girls:
1- a scoop neck striped blouse with 3/4 sleeves sorta sailor like ( preferably in black, blue, red or pink with white or gray)
2- black ballet flats ( you can get more colors when your look is more complete)
3- khaki and black Capri's ( please no pleats )
4- a pair of black leggings and tights
5- black skinny jeans ( the stir up ones are pretty cute)
6- a simple but elegant little black dress also try to find a short long sleeve dress also in black
7- some silk scarves and thin belts
9- some pretty tees (j.crew has some great ones but you can also get them some wear else just try to buy plain ones or ones that look like bought on trips or with iconic brands such as coca-cola)
10- high wasted shorts with no pattern on neutral tones
11- red and black pumps ( to begin with)
12- some pencil skirts( high wasted ones are the best)
13- ruffle blouses and dresses
14- cardigans ( vintage ones are better also American eagle's)
15- headbands and vintage jewelry
16- cute, easy to accessorise plain dresses, some with Jakie o cut ,lace ones, polka dots, sun dresses and slip dresses are also great.
17- quited handbags and some clutches
guys:
1- crisp white shirt
2- dark 2 and 3 pieces suits
3- tweed flat cap
4- a fedora
5- thin silk ties
6- loafers
7- polo necks
8- slacks
9- vintage sweaters (sorta beat up)
10-trench coat
12- plaid scarves
11- skinny jeans ( not too skinny)
12- converse( for a modern twist)
13- vintage shirts
14- brown leather jacket ( also kinda beat up)
15- a tweed jacket
16- a hoodie ( for a modern twist too)
so i am in the mood for some fun , i am still on school break till January 25 and i am looking for a makeover ( i am going to a new school) , shopping anyone? maybe even stopping for a quick haircut on my way home, see ya later girliess :)!!

confessions of a teenage daredevil/OMGomg! TAVI!!!
don't think about it just do it..
hey!
so i have been thinking about a making my look a little more edgy lately (without of course returning to my awkward i-think-hot-topic-sells-the-best-clothes era don't worry sweet & classic is still my trademark)so i have been making a few additions to my wardrobe lately with consists of
1- pair of Zippered Shiny Leggings
2-Metallic Leggings
3-Shiny Ruched Leggings
4-Shoulder Fringe Tunic
5- Long Black Vest Cardigan
6- white scoop neck t-shirt with black chains on the collar(!)(bought it large for a cool over size look tough i wish i had bought the extra large one so it will be like a dress we extra small girls get all the fun :))
7- black high heeled ankle boots
8- gray biker boots
but theres also a few other additions i am lusting after, like rodarte for target collection featuring Tavi Gevinson (fashion blogger extraordinaire) as the face of the collection :
"Tavi defines Rodarte for Target," the sisters say. "She's curious and discerning."
Personally i am a Tavi( style rookie) fan , i follow her blog, almost fainted when i saw her on teen vogue issue with Chanel iman on the cover, i love her quirky-vintage style that has that cute little girl playing dress up vibe that we all love.
Tavi is a 13 year girl from chic-ago whose fashion blog has become one of the biggest influence in the media turning her into an icon(she´s like a young Internet version of Anna wintour).she´s a natural in the business and has a great eye for fashion.
so while this 13 year old prodigy is creating mayor waves on the fashion scene with her unique taste and sense of style she keeps the rest of us wondering what will this young fashion virtuoso´s next move be , her own magazine ?,a clothing line? only time will tell.
mean while lets count the days till rodarte line for target hit the stores on December 20. i am in LOVE with this yellow slip dress:
i am thinking vintage lace tights, some cute high heels,a lovely bow or flower headband, my juicy couture golden heart locket with a tiny silver bow with diamonds necklace, pearl bracelets, simple, discert but cute juicy couture mini golden heart hoop earrings and my ruffle trim 3/4 sleeve black leather jacket i got from gap kids last year (its cute & vintage looking but yet has a rocker vibe ), paired with the perfect clutch , red lips and simple eyes this is my perfect way to wear this dream like dress.
the collection will consist of 55 pieces like dresses, skirts,cardigans,etc.. i hope they include these babies:

they re just what i need to give to complement the edge i am looking for without going too far.
it is time for me to go now since this post is getting too long and i just had another post idea on my head but before i leave look what got leaked on the Internet:

too bad it was nothing new but still its something.btw i have a message to that idiot who attacked my post last time: shut your &$#@ing mouth up and focus on your life instead of bothering us people with actual interest other than being annoying and rude.
xoxo
